Errata for June 2003 Linux Magazine Column
The June 2003
Linux Magazine
Power Tools column,
screen: Windows that Follow You,
needs these corrections:
-
Page 48 (first page of the article), Figure One: the PID in the
bash circle should be 674 instead of 671.
The PID in the screen (lowercase) circle
should be 839 instead of 889.
-
Page 49 (second page of the article), the sidebar
A Window's Environment refers to "the second
window, where vi was running." This is referring ahead
to the top right-hand column of page 50, where you open a new
screen window and start vi inside it.
-
Page 50 (third page of the article), Figure Four:
- The PID in the top circle should be 841.
- The PID in the left bash circle should be 922.
- The PID in the vi circle should be 924.
-
The vi circle with PID 924 should have the same shaded background
as the bash circle above it because both are running on pts/7.
-
The screen circle with PID 1119 should have the same shaded
background as the bash circle above it because both are
running on pts/10.
Here's a
corrected Figure Four
in PNG format.
