Jerry Peek's Email Tips, Techniques, Thoughts...

I've used electronic mail since 1981. (To put that in perspective, I started using email just after the first IBM PC came out. That was 10 or 15 years before most people had heard of the Internet.) I'm not saying that to make you think I'm old ;-) but mostly to show that I've had a lot of experience with this stuff, both as a user and a software guy. (I've also written several books that are at least partly about email.)

I started this page years ago as a place for thoughs about email -- in the days before email was common. Now it's so common that I've left this page mostly as a placeholder for information about the MH email system.

MH is different than almost every other email program. It's complex and quirky; it's also showing its age. (And unless you're using Linux, Mac OS X, or another Unix-type system, you can't run MH.) Still, a look at the pages below might show you some things that you didn't know your current email program can do.
