Pie Town, NM
Where US highway 60 crosses the Continental Divide, at an elevation of 7,900 feet, is Pie Town. In the early 1900s, Clyde Norman — who owned the town's gas station and cafe — began selling pies. Today two Pie Town restaurants sell pies, and an annual Pie Festival is held the second Saturday of September.
The Sawtooth Mountains rise to 9,290 ft. between Datil and Pie Town.
